It's Go Time on the Tennessee River

Posted by admin on June 27, 2013

We're at the sixth and final qualifier of the 2013 Walmart FLW Tour and getting ready to do battle on Lake Chickamauga along the Tennessee River. I'm looking forward to getting out there because I like this river system and have had good success along it.

Even though I haven't exactly gone lights out this year, I'm looking to make a good showing here to put a nice wrap on the season. Even though early summer has been a good time for me, this is not going to be a walk in the park. The lake is fishing extremely small and I had very little water to myself in practice. There are going to be a lot of shared fish at this event. I'm just looking to make my share just a little heavier then theirs.

Some of the guys will be banging the banks but I think the majority of fish are going to be found offshore along the ledges. Firing up some schools and stringing together a nice bag in multiple places I've found in practice is my game plan. Every day I've found them and caught them with a mixed bag of tricks. So I'm hitting them from all angles. But that's no surprise here. It's summertime ledge fishing with a 150 of your closest friends doing pretty much the same things. You just have to be 1 oz. better.

I'm blasting off in slot 78. Check in for on-the-water coverage and live weigh-in on FLWoutdoors.com and we'll see you on stage. - BN
